Two London trade events fall on 10 June. If your next export order depends on finding a bank, I’d send you to one; if you need a distributor, I’d send you to the other.
That’s how I’d choose among these six London business networking events for 2027: start with the person you need to meet. Use the contents to jump straight to your sector.
| Event and 2027 dates | Venue | Who you’re likely to meet | How to take part |
|---|---|---|---|
| Institute of Customer Service Annual Conference; 9 March | London Hilton on Park Lane | Service leaders, customer experience teams and vendors | Member and non-member tickets; attendee networking in the event app |
| PAY360; 21–22 April | ExCeL London | Banks, merchants, fintechs and payments providers | Exhibition or delegate route; app advertises advance meeting booking |
| London Tech Week; 7–11 June | Olympia London, 7–9 June; fringe across London, 7–11 June | Tech buyers, vendors, founders and investors | Choose the Olympia pass by role; register for fringe events separately |
| GTR UK; 10 June | Convene, 155 Bishopsgate | Trade finance teams, exporters, banks and insurers | Corporate and standard rates; networking breaks and evening reception |
| Global Britain Trade Expo; 10 June | QEII Centre, Westminster | Exporters, trade advisers and potential market partners | Delegate pass covers expo, conference, networking sessions and app |
| London Real Estate Forum; 15 September | Guildhall, City of London | Developers, investors and public-sector built environment leaders | Forum registration; separate invitation for the Global Investment Summit |
1. Customer Service Annual Conference: meet service peers
The Institute of Customer Service Annual Conference takes place on 9 March at the London Hilton on Park Lane. I would start here if you lead a service or customer experience team and want to compare decisions with people doing similar work.
A conversation about reducing repeat calls is more useful if the other team has faced the same trade-off between speed and quality. Bring the measure you are trying to improve and ask what changed when they introduced a new process or tool.
Members and non-members can book, and the organiser says pre-registered delegates receive event app access a week before the conference. Use it to identify peers and customer experience providers you want to approach, then leave space to speak with them between sessions.
The UK Customer Satisfaction Awards follow at the same hotel that evening and have their own booking page. Check that separately if the dinner is part of your networking plan.
2. PAY360: meet payments providers
PAY360 runs on 21–22 April at ExCeL London. I would choose it for a payments partnership or supplier search, especially if you can describe the transaction, market or customer problem you need to solve.
For example, a merchant replacing a payment provider could bring the markets it sells into, its required payment methods and the part of checkout that is causing trouble. That helps you find someone who can discuss integration and support, as well as the product demo.
The organiser advertises advance one-to-one booking through the app. Its ticket and app FAQ distinguishes exhibition access from delegate admission to the conference and says registered attendees can use the app; check when registration and meeting requests open.
If you mainly need to see suppliers, I would look at the exhibition route first. If your brief also depends on a conference session or a speaker’s perspective, make sure the pass covers it before you build the day around it.
3. London Tech Week: Olympia and the fringe
London Tech Week runs from 7 to 11 June, but the Olympia London expo and content stages run from 7 to 9 June. The fringe runs across London from 7 to 11 June, so check the address as well as the date for every meeting you plan.
Olympia is where I would compare vendors or explore technology adoption across industries. The registration page separates startup, investor and vendor routes. The startup category is for founders or C-suite executives at pre-seed, seed or Series A companies founded within the past five years, with no more than £5 million or equivalent raised.
For a smaller gathering around one problem, I would look through the fringe. The organiser’s pass FAQ says those events need separate registration and identifies a separate route for AI Summit access.
If your main aim is to meet AI engineers or teams deploying models, use my London AI events guide to narrow your search. I would choose London Tech Week when you want to see the wider market for technology buyers and partners.
Pro Tip: ask for the conversation before you plan the journey
Send a short message that names the work you have in common and proposes a time and venue. If you’re arranging a fringe meeting, wait for the host’s registration confirmation before moving another appointment to make room for it.
4. GTR UK: finance the export order
GTR UK is on 10 June at Convene, 155 Bishopsgate. Its audience includes trade finance professionals, exporters, banks and insurers, with time set aside for networking and an evening reception.
This is where I’d send an exporter who has a promising customer but needs to discuss credit terms, payment risk or working capital. A treasury professional can also use it to compare how banks and specialist providers approach a particular kind of trade.
GTR lists a corporate rate for eligible non-financial businesses and a separate standard rate for financial and professional service providers. Check your category and bring enough detail about the trade you do for the conversation to move beyond an introduction.
5. Global Britain Trade Expo: find market partners
Global Britain Trade Expo also takes place on 10 June, at the QEII Centre in Westminster. I would choose it if you are still looking for an adviser, distributor or business partner who understands the market you want to enter.
The delegate pass lists access to the exhibition, conference, app and networking sessions. Start with the exhibitors and participants that fit your target market; a delegate pass gives you ways to approach people, and they still need a reason to meet you.
If you sell a specialist product, bring one question about how it would reach customers in the new market. A useful first conversation might reveal who handles distribution, what a local partner expects you to provide and whether you can follow up after the event.
6. London Real Estate Forum: discuss a project
London Real Estate Forum returns to Guildhall on 15 September. I would shortlist it for development, investment and public-sector teams that need to understand how other organisations approach the same place or kind of project.
Bring a brief that names the development stage and the decision you are working towards. A developer can ask an investor what evidence would make a project worth reviewing, while a public-sector team can look for peers who have coordinated similar regeneration work.
The organiser separately lists the co-located Global Investment Summit as invitation only. If your priority is meeting a particular investor, verify the route to that conversation before assuming your forum ticket covers it.
The forum is also a useful chance to find people who can explain how a project moves from strategy to delivery. I would leave time for people who deal with a specific obstacle you face, such as coordinating infrastructure and development across a site.
7. How I’d choose on 10 June
If you already have demand and need the finance or insurance that lets you fulfil it, I’d book GTR UK. If you’re still trying to figure out who can sell or support your product in a new market, I’d start at Global Britain Trade Expo.
10 June also sits inside London Tech Week’s fringe programme. I would make one event the anchor for that day and add a fringe session only if its host confirms your place and you can get there without cutting short the conversations you came for.
If your team can send two people, give each a different brief and have them compare notes afterwards. One can look for a route to market while the other finds out who can help with financing the trade that follows.
8. Where I’d send you first
If you run customer operations, choose the Institute’s conference and look for a peer who has handled the same service problem. If you’re changing how your company takes or moves payments, start with PAY360 and bring an integration question.
If you’re a founder looking for a buyer, start with London Tech Week and target the people who can test your product. If you’re an exporter, choose your 10 June event according to whether the next step is financing a sale or finding a market partner.
If you work in development, property investment or city planning, I’d put the London Real Estate Forum first. Give yourself a clear reason to speak with someone whose role differs from yours: they may see the part of your project you are missing.
Pro Tip: write down what would make the day worthwhile
Before you book, finish the sentence “I want to leave with…” in concrete terms: a shortlist of two payment providers, a referral to a distributor, or a peer willing to discuss their service redesign. Use that goal to choose which sessions and introductions deserve your time.
