Your next logistics trip should end with something you can use: a supplier shortlist, a carrier relationship or a better way to move goods through your operation. A packed exhibition hall is only useful when it contains the people who can help with that decision.
I would divide the 2027 US calendar into five practical choices: supply-chain partnerships, warehouse technology, home delivery, intermodal transport and project cargo. The events below have published 2027 dates; F3 sits separately on my watchlist because its available source points to a different year.
Compare the US logistics events by the decision they serve
| Event | 2027 dates | City | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manifest Vegas | 8–10 February | Las Vegas | Supply-chain technology and commercial partnerships |
| ProMat | 19–21 April | Chicago | Warehouse automation and material-handling suppliers |
| Home Delivery World | 25–27 May | Orlando | Fulfilment and last-mile delivery operations |
| IANA Intermodal EXPO | 13–15 September | Long Beach | Container movements across rail, truck and marine networks |
| Breakbulk Americas | 19–20 October | Houston | Project cargo, heavy lift and specialised freight |
Dates were checked against organiser sources on 15 October 2026. Use each official link for current registration and programme details, especially where a website still mixes a 2026 recap with a 2027 announcement.
1. Manifest Vegas: find partners across the supply chain
8–10 FEBRUARY 2027 | LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Manifest brings supply-chain executives, logistics providers, technology companies, entrepreneurs and investors together at The Venetian. I would put it first when your problem crosses organisational boundaries: finding a technology partner, comparing logistics services or understanding what potential customers will support.
Its breadth requires discipline. A shipper should arrive with a defined operating problem; a startup should identify the buyer and integration owner behind every promising introduction.
For technology and data teams, my transport analytics events guide adds a different lens. Here, I would judge Manifest by the commercial relationships you can develop, then test whether any proposed software can use your data and fit your workflow.
2. ProMat: compare the equipment behind the promise
19–21 APRIL 2027 | CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
ProMat is the more direct choice for warehouse, distribution and manufacturing teams evaluating material handling and supply-chain technology. MHI's event combines exhibits with education, giving you a place to compare potential solutions and question the suppliers behind them.
I would bring a compact operating brief: throughput, product mix, available space, staffing constraints and the systems you already use. Ask how a proposal handles peak demand, exceptions, maintenance and integration, then compare the answers consistently.
Choose ProMat ahead of Manifest when equipment evaluation is the immediate task. Its limitation is equally practical: a polished demonstration cannot establish performance in your own facility, so use the visit to narrow the options for further assessment.
3. Home Delivery World: work backwards from the doorstep
25–27 MAY 2027 | ORLANDO, FLORIDA
Home Delivery World takes place at the Orange County Convention Center and brings together retailers, brands, grocers, carriers, 3PLs, fulfilment providers and technology teams. I would favour it when the customer promise depends on the connection between warehouse performance and delivery execution.
Bring one service problem: failed deliveries, weak visibility, costly returns or inconsistent fulfilment. Compare what each provider needs from your order data, how exceptions are managed and who owns the customer communication when a delivery goes wrong.
Compared with ProMat, my focus here would shift towards the complete delivery service. A warehouse improvement deserves attention only if you can explain its effect on the cost and reliability of getting orders to customers.
4. IANA Intermodal EXPO: examine the handoffs
13–15 SEPTEMBER 2027 | LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA
IANA's Intermodal EXPO connects the rail, trucking, marine, logistics and supplier communities. The 2027 edition is scheduled at the Long Beach Convention Center; I would shortlist it for container flows where performance depends on several organisations working together.
A shipper should bring a representative lane and service requirement. A carrier, terminal or technology team should identify the handoff it needs to improve, such as information exchange, equipment availability or coordination.
The distinction from a broad supply-chain conference is the operating network around the container. I would choose this audience over a warehouse show when delays and accountability between modes are the real constraint.
5. Breakbulk Americas: choose it for the cargo that changes the plan
19–20 OCTOBER 2027 | HOUSTON, TEXAS
Breakbulk Americas gathers the project-cargo and breakbulk community at Houston's George R. Brown Convention Centre. It is my more focused choice for project shippers, forwarders, ports and specialised transport providers working on complex industrial movements.
Bring a cargo profile and route constraints, then ask where equipment, capacity and execution responsibilities need to align. A conversation becomes more useful when everyone understands what must move and which part of the journey is difficult.
Compare it with IANA by the movement you are planning. I would prioritise IANA for container-network relationships and Breakbulk for project cargo; neither is my first recommendation for ordinary parcel delivery or warehouse-software selection.
F3 stays on my watchlist
At the October check, the official F3 festival page advertised 27–28 October 2026 in Chattanooga. The 2027 FreightTech100 announcement names an awards class and links to that 2026 festival; it does not establish a 2027 festival date. I would wait for an explicit 2027 announcement before adding F3 to a travel budget.
Which event would I choose for your role?
For a warehouse engineer or operations manager, I would start with ProMat and define a small set of suppliers to assess. For a retailer, delivery manager or last-mile carrier, Home Delivery World offers the more relevant comparison around fulfilment and service execution.
For a shipper or 3PL building technology and commercial relationships, I would consider Manifest. If the immediate problem is a container corridor, prioritise IANA; if it is an industrial project shipment, begin with Breakbulk Americas.
A junior engineer should attend with an experienced colleague where possible and own one technical question. A senior buyer should bring requirements and agree who will evaluate proposals after the event; otherwise, an enthusiastic visit can leave the procurement process exactly where it started.
If your suppliers, customers or projects are mainly across the Atlantic, compare my European logistics, freight and supply-chain events guide before choosing a US trip. I would book one primary event around the current decision, then add another only when it gives you a clearly different audience or capability.
Frequently asked questions
Which US logistics events in 2027 cover warehouse automation?
ProMat is the strongest starting point on this shortlist for warehouse automation and material-handling equipment. I would compare suppliers against your throughput, product mix, integration needs and maintenance constraints.
How does Manifest Vegas differ from ProMat?
Manifest offers a broad supply-chain audience for technology discovery and commercial partnerships. ProMat is my more direct choice when the immediate task is evaluating warehouse equipment and operational technology.
Which US conference should last-mile delivery teams consider?
Consider Home Delivery World, scheduled for 25–27 May 2027 in Orlando. Its audience spans retailers, carriers, 3PLs and fulfilment providers, making it relevant to the journey from warehouse to doorstep.
Which events focus on intermodal freight and project cargo?
Compare IANA Intermodal EXPO in Long Beach for container transport across modes with Breakbulk Americas in Houston for project cargo and specialised movements. Choose according to the freight and operating partners you need.
Are F3's 2027 festival dates confirmed?
I could not verify a 2027 festival date at the 15 October 2026 check. The cited FreightTech100 announcement concerns the 2027 awards class, while the linked festival page lists October 2026.
Still looking for the right logistics event?
Your next useful conversation may be at a smaller event focused on a particular cargo, region or technology. Search beyond this shortlist by topic, location and date.
I would begin with the operating problem you need to solve, then choose the audience that can help you move it forward.
