Compare six Bay Area AI events by actual city, audience and admission route, including clinical research, developer workshops, executive invitations and virtual access.

An event advertised as “Silicon Valley” can put you in San Jose while your hotel is in San Francisco. I would resolve that mismatch before comparing keynotes.

These six AI events in San Francisco and the Bay Area also cover Santa Clara, San Jose and Stanford. I would compare the location, admission route and value of attending in person.

Start with the address and admission route

This shortlist selects conferences and summits from the region. The April entries share a venue but have different admission rules, so establish your eligibility before combining them.

1. AI DevWorld: choose the part of the developer week you need

9–11 FEBRUARY 2027 | SANTA CLARA

The AI DevWorld agenda places PRO workshops on 9 February and the expo on 10–11 February at Santa Clara Convention Center. That split matters if you can spare only one day: an exhibition visit and a workshop day serve different purposes.

A developer moving into AI should examine the learning format before the speaker list. I would favour workshops for guided practice and the expo for discovering tools to investigate later.

Founders have a separate route through AI Startup Alley. Accepted applicants receive a demo table and three OPEN passes, with nominations due on 13 January 2027; check the company eligibility rules before applying.

Check the registration page against the agenda: some pass labels still show inconsistent dates. I would confirm the relevant days and inclusions before paying.

2. AI Healthcare Conference: decide whether you need the poster room

18–19 MARCH 2027 | STANFORD + LIVE ONLINE

The AI Healthcare Conference programme covers clinical outcomes, equity, deployment and implementation at Stanford Faculty Club. I would consider it for health-system teams and researchers who need to examine how an AI result translates into a clinical workflow.

Ask who absorbs the extra work: clinicians, reviewers, IT staff or patients. I would examine what the evaluation counted, especially when the benefit depends on changes outside the model.

The academic, industry and Live Online passes provide different attendance routes, with live questions and online networking advertised for remote participants. Posters are explicitly in person only, so travel earns its place when those direct research conversations matter to you.

3. Chief AI Officer Summit: establish whether the invitation fits you

14 APRIL 2027 | SAN JOSE

At the Chief AI Officer Summit Silicon Valley, the San Jose venue is DoubleTree by Hilton at 2050 Gateway Place. The organiser presents an invitation-based leadership gathering with roundtables and discussions aimed at senior decision-makers.

I would investigate who can stop an initiative, approve exceptions or redirect investment. That discussion suits leaders whose AI responsibilities depend on authority shared with other executives.

Read the Chief AI Officer pass eligibility before requesting a complimentary place. The stated route targets C-suite or VP technology leaders and includes company-size or revenue criteria; vendors face different conditions, so an application is not a confirmed seat.

4. Agentic AI Summit: resolve the April timetable first

APRIL 2027 | SAN JOSE | DAY REQUIRES CONFIRMATION

The Agentic AI Summit Silicon Valley page advertises 14 April and an engineering audience at the same DoubleTree venue. However, the Chief AI Officer registration terms place the agentic programme on 15 April; obtain written confirmation before fixing travel.

Subject to that clarification, I would consider it for engineers examining agent execution. Trace a task through tool selection, retries and human intervention to identify where repeated actions could cause trouble.

The agentic summit registration conditions describe access to the agentic and generative programmes and reserve the right to refuse consultants, vendors and solution providers. I would also confirm any remote option and executive-track access separately, rather than treating a shared venue as a universal invitation.

Pro Tip: ask about the exact room you need

When an organiser advertises several summits together, name the date, programme and session in your enquiry. Ask whether your badge includes that activity and whether a separate approval is needed; keep the reply with your booking confirmation.

5. Data + AI Summit: make the local visit earn its place

21–24 JUNE 2027 | SAN FRANCISCO + VIRTUAL

The Data + AI Summit announcement locates the 2027 event across Moscone North, West and South, with virtual access as well. For a local attendee, that creates a useful choice between following the programme remotely and spending workdays at the venue.

My reason to attend in person would be access to implementation detail that is difficult to extract from a presentation. A team already using the Databricks ecosystem could investigate operational practices, discuss migration trade-offs and assess the relevance of available training.

Check the 2027 offering before budgeting for a course or certification mentioned elsewhere on the site. I would also leave time between activities in different Moscone buildings, rather than treating every session as if it shares one entrance.

6. AI Engineer World’s Fair: distinguish the conference from its surroundings

29 JUNE–1 JULY 2027 | SAN FRANCISCO

At Moscone West, AI Engineer World’s Fair 2027 promises technical sessions, workshops and an AI tools expo. Its announcement says the detailed programme, speakers and tickets are still to come, with side-event information to follow.

A technical founder might value seeing how other teams explain and demonstrate their products. An engineering lead could use the expo to inspect whether a tool makes a colleague’s work easier, including installation, documentation and the steps needed to reproduce a demonstration.

I would distinguish the official conference pass from any surrounding community registration. A nearby gathering may have its own capacity or approval process, so confirm that access independently when the actual 2027 listings appear.

Choose your base using the journeys you will actually make

Keep San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Jose and Stanford as separate destinations in your itinerary. Use the official Caltrain stations and journey planner to investigate regional connections, then check the remaining transfer to the venue and the return after your last activity.

I would favour accommodation near the event when early sessions and evening discussions are central to the visit. Staying elsewhere can still work, but compare the full journey with the time you expect to spend at the venue.

If the regional options miss your professional needs, widen the search with my US AI events guide. For a problem centred on operating an AI system after launch, my AI deployment events guide offers another route beyond the local calendar.

Where I would send you around the Bay Area

Developers seeking structured learning should examine AI DevWorld’s workshops; founders seeking a demonstration opportunity should assess Startup Alley eligibility. Builders who want broader exposure to AI tools should follow World’s Fair’s programme release before choosing a ticket.

Clinical researchers and health-system teams should look closely at AI Healthcare Conference, choosing in-person attendance when posters matter. Data-platform practitioners already working in the Databricks ecosystem have a stronger reason to investigate Data + AI Summit.

For eligible executive leaders, I would pursue an invitation to the Chief AI Officer Summit. Agent engineers should keep the specialist April summit conditional on confirmed dates and access, especially if they are travelling from outside the region.

A PhD student should choose according to the research community, even when a general AI gathering is closer. My US AI events guide for PhD students provides specialist alternatives when this local shortlist does not match the dissertation.
