Before you pitch in Dallas, find out who is supposed to be pitching to whom.
At a franchise show, exhibitors want to explain their businesses to prospective owners. At an angel-investor summit, the main conversation is about investing practice and relationships between investors. Your approach should change with the room.
I have selected six business networking events in Dallas and nearby Addison for 2027 around those different professional roles. Dates and access details were checked on 29 October 2026; prices can change, and the audience matches are my recommendations. I flag an unresolved ICBI41 date discrepancy and DigiMarCon’s unconfirmed venue below.
| Event | 2027 dates | Location | Who I would prioritise | Participation detail |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JobTread Women’s Summit | 12 January | Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel, Addison | Women in construction who use JobTread | $199 advertised; customer-only; separate from JobTread Connect |
| Dallas Franchise Show | 30–31 January | Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Hall B, Dallas | Prospective franchise owners comparing businesses | Free online admission advertised; $10 at the door |
| P3 Conference | 15–17 March | Sheraton Dallas Hotel | Public project owners and infrastructure partners | Separate public-agency rate; market-sounding programme requires an application |
| ICBI41 | 17–21 April listed; reconfirm programme days | Hyatt Regency Dallas | Incubator, accelerator and entrepreneurship-support leaders | Member/non-member rates; ACA participation is an add-on |
| Angel Capital Association Summit | 19–21 April | Hyatt Regency Dallas | Angel investors, group leaders and support professionals | Ticket tiers vary; InBIA reception/content options cost extra |
| DigiMarCon Dallas | 13–14 May | Dallas; venue to be confirmed | Marketers, agency teams and digital-business leaders | In-person and online options; confirm networking inclusions |
1. JobTread Women’s Summit: start with a shared working context
The JobTread Women’s Summit is scheduled for 12 January 2027 at the Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel in Addison. It combines workshops, peer roundtables and a networking happy hour for women in construction.
Its customer requirement matters: the Summit is exclusive to JobTread users. I would prioritise it for a woman running operations, managing projects or leading a construction company who wants to exchange practical experience with people using the same business platform.
Bring one process you want to improve, such as a handover between sales and project delivery, and ask how another team manages it. A shared system gives you a starting point, while differences in company size and responsibilities can make the discussion useful.
The advertised $199 pass includes sessions, lunch, refreshments and the happy hour. It is a separate ticket from JobTread Connect, and the happy hour is reserved for Summit attendees; confirm your eligibility before planning the visit.
2. Dallas Franchise Show: attend as an informed prospective owner
The Dallas Franchise Show takes place on 30–31 January 2027 in Hall B at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The organiser advertises free admission with online registration and $10 tickets at the door.
I would put it on your shortlist if you are researching franchise ownership and want to compare several businesses in one visit. The useful conversation begins with your operating interests and experience, followed by questions you can ask consistently across exhibitors.
Prepare with the Federal Trade Commission’s consumer guide to buying a franchise, which explains costs, support, contractual controls and disclosure documents. I would leave the exhibition with a research shortlist and clearly recorded questions to investigate afterwards.
For an established consultant seeking general local clients, this is a narrower fit: the central exchange concerns franchise opportunities. Consider whether you need to evaluate ownership models, meet relevant exhibitors or find a broader owner-to-owner community before choosing it.
3. P3 Conference: make the project the reason for the meeting
The P3 Conference runs on 15–17 March 2027 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. Its audience brings together public owners, developers, investors, advisers, contractors and other organisations involved in infrastructure delivery.
This is my specialist choice for a public-agency project team or a private partner developing relationships around public-private partnerships. Describe the project’s stage and the question you need to resolve, so another attendee can judge where their experience might help.
Public agencies should examine the Market Sounding Program: selected applicants present a project or challenge, receive feedback and have relevant one-to-one meetings arranged. The organiser states there is no additional programme fee beyond conference registration, but participation requires an application and places are limited.
The pricing page lists a $1,495 general pass and a $395 government/public-agency pass at the Super Saver rate through 6 November 2026. Check your registration category and current rate before budgeting.
Pro Tip: put the business case on one page
For employer-funded attendance, adapt my conference application templates. Name the decision your visit supports, the people you want to consult and the short briefing or comparison you will deliver afterwards; include travel and time away in the request.
4. ICBI41: connect with the people who support entrepreneurs
InBIA’s ICBI41 targets incubator and accelerator leaders, university entrepreneurship programmes and other entrepreneur-support organisations. It shares the Hyatt Regency Dallas with the ACA Summit, creating opportunities to connect entrepreneurship support with early-stage investment.
I would prioritise it for an accelerator programme manager improving founder support or an economic-development professional comparing approaches across regions. Bring an example of a service you run and the result you are trying to measure, then ask how peers evaluate similar work.
The organiser’s calendar lists 17–21 April 2027, while its introduction describes 18–21 April. Confirm the days covered by your chosen programme before booking travel; the published date ranges are not yet consistent.
Early Bird rates through 19 February are advertised at $1,095 for InBIA members and $1,395 for non-members. Registering for ICBI41 does not automatically provide unrestricted ACA participation: inspect the cross-event add-on and the shared sessions before designing your schedule.
5. ACA Summit: approach an investor community on its own terms
The Angel Capital Association Summit is scheduled for 19–21 April 2027 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. It focuses on early-stage investors, angel-group leaders and the wider entrepreneurial-support community, with educational sessions and networking.
I would choose it for an investor seeking professional peers or a support leader trying to understand how investors assess emerging companies. A founder should ask about appropriate participation and any specific presentation opportunity before treating the Summit as a fundraising pitch event.
The registration page advertises quantity-based pricing tiers, beginning at $1,095 for members and $1,395 for non-members in the first allocation. Those are opening tiers, so confirm what is currently available.
Its add-on menu makes the overlap with ICBI41 concrete: $150 for the 18 April InBIA reception, or $350 for that reception plus InBIA content on 19 April before 2pm. Compare the actual access window with the people and sessions you need, rather than assuming a shared hotel means a shared pass.
6. DigiMarCon Dallas: use the breaks to investigate a marketing problem
DigiMarCon Dallas announces 13–14 May 2027, with digital marketing sessions and scheduled networking breaks, lunches and receptions. I would consider it for agency teams, in-house marketers and business leaders responsible for customer acquisition or digital engagement.
Prepare a question you can discuss without revealing confidential results: how another team tests a landing-page change, for example, or decides whether a campaign brought useful enquiries. Shared professional questions give a conversation more substance than a quick exchange of service descriptions.
The organiser’s pages currently mix references to the Westin Galleria Dallas, other hotel details and “Venue TBD”. Treat the venue as unconfirmed and obtain the final address before making a hotel reservation.
The registration page offers an attendance route, while the site also advertises online participation. For an in-person networking visit, confirm the pass includes the particular breaks, lunches and receptions you plan to attend, and reconfirm the timetable.
7. Choose the access you need before choosing the cheapest pass
These events involve different commitments: customer eligibility at JobTread, a public-agency category at P3 and membership or cross-event choices in April. Write down the sessions and conversations you want, then match the registration to that plan.
For ICBI41 and ACA, work through the calendar together: the co-location may make a combined trip practical, but the add-on specifies limited access. For DigiMarCon, resolve the venue first; for the Women’s Summit, plan for Addison as the actual municipality.
Afterwards, record what you learned against the question you brought. A useful outcome could be a better supplier brief, a revised founder-support process or a peer willing to exchange experience again; your contact count will not explain which of those happened.
8. Where I would start with your role
Start with the responsibility you already hold or the business decision you are actively investigating. That makes it easier to explain why you want to talk and what you can contribute.
Prospective franchise owners should begin with the Dallas Franchise Show and prepare their comparison questions. Women in construction who use JobTread should examine the Women’s Summit; public owners and infrastructure partners should prioritise P3’s relevant programme and registration route.
For incubator and accelerator teams, I would start with ICBI41 and add ACA access only for a defined purpose. For angel investors, reverse that order: begin with the ACA Summit, then assess the InBIA add-on. Marketing teams should consider DigiMarCon once the venue and pass inclusions are clear.
Pro Tip: pair complementary expertise
If two colleagues attend, give each a different question and arrange a short debrief. At the April events, a programme manager and an investment colleague could compare where founder preparation meets investor expectations, then identify one improvement worth testing together.
If your goal needs a broader owner community or a different city, use my US business networking events guide to widen the shortlist. Choose the next event around the relationship you can realistically continue.
Frequently asked questions
Are there free business networking events in Dallas in 2027?
