One event offers you a free badge. Another expects you to show up for at least 15 appointments. I’d choose between them by what you need to get done once you’re in the room.
These eight business networking events in Europe cover February to April 2027, including options in the UK, Norway and Switzerland. Use the contents to jump to the kind of conversation you need.

1. Small business: compare suppliers and find peers
The Business Show Amsterdam runs on 10–11 February at RAI Amsterdam. I would choose it for a small team that needs to compare business services or make several short introductions before deciding who merits a longer conversation.
Free visitor tickets are advertised, and the speed-networking page describes timed rotations with a sign-up process. Give yourself one job for those rounds: for example, find a provider that can take over payroll in the markets where you employ people.
Stockholm Business Expo takes place on 24–25 February at Kistamässan in Kista. Its SME focus suits an owner comparing business services in Sweden, especially when you need a supplier that understands how your local customers or staff work.
Stockholm advertises free exhibition admission, but its site still links to the 2026 programme. Check the 2027 session language and workshop access if either will determine whether you go. I’d choose Amsterdam for the timed introductions and Stockholm when the Swedish market is the point of the visit.
I’d visit before paying for a stand in a market I don’t know. My guide to small-business networking in Europe compares where a visitor ticket is enough to meet suppliers and when a separate exhibitor route makes sense.
2. Women’s business networks: founders or leadership peers?
Sommet des Fondatrices is announced for 9 March at Théâtre de Paris. I would go to meet women who are building companies in the French ecosystem, especially if you have an operating or funding question that another founder has faced.
WILLA describes a demo day and short investor meetings alongside material from 2026. Before you build the trip around fundraising, confirm which formats return, who can apply and what language they use.
HER Conference & Awards takes place on 29 April at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo. It’s the broader leadership choice here: consider it if you are moving into management or want to compare how leaders in other organisations handle the same responsibilities.
HER lists separate conference and awards dinner tickets as well as a combined option. Check the working language for the part you plan to attend. If you’re looking for career contacts or leadership peers, my guide to women’s business networking in Europe compares those routes alongside founder communities.
3. Startup networking: look for investors who fit your round
START Summit takes place on 18–19 March at the Olma halls in St. Gallen. I would put it on your shortlist if you are raising and can name the types of funds that fit your company’s stage and sector.
The organiser includes investor matchmaking with the startup ticket and describes filtering by sector, stage and typical investment size. Use those filters to decide whom to approach, then check when booking opens and whether the other person has accepted.
Pitching and exhibition places are separate applications. If you’re bootstrapping, a buyer conversation may be worth more to you than time with a fund. My European startup networking guide compares events for finding pilot partners, meeting other founders and approaching investors.
Pro Tip: write a request you could send today
Give the other person enough to decide whether to meet. For example: “We’re looking for a payroll provider for a team in two countries. Could we spend 15 minutes on setup time and what you handle directly?” I would use an answer to that question as a better test of fit than the size of the attendee list.
4. B2B matchmaking: choose the kind of appointment you need
Business Kohtaamo takes place on 2 April at Hallituskatu 2 in Kempele. Its organisers describe pre-arranged meetings for local microbusinesses, SMEs and sole traders, as well as organisations looking for subcontractors.
I would choose it if you can deliver work in the region and meet again afterwards. The Finnish listing shows a fee and limited places; ask how the organiser pairs participants, how you confirm your diary and what language your counterparts can use.
MEETEX runs on 16–18 March at The Westin Zagreb. It makes sense when you are sourcing Croatian venues or event services and have a brief specific enough to discuss with a supplier.
The 2027 hosted-buyer terms require organiser approval, business English and at least 15 scheduled appointments. Suppliers use a separate exhibitor route. My B2B matchmaking guide explains what to check before accepting a hosted diary or paying for app-based booking.
If your venue search is still at the market research stage, my guide to focused European travel and tourism events compares other meetings and business travel formats. I’d use that wider view to narrow your brief before applying for a hosted programme.
5. London networking: start with your industry
PAY360 takes place at ExCeL London on 21–22 April. I’d start here if you need a conversation with a merchant, bank, payments provider or fintech team about a transaction or service you can describe.
A merchant might be testing a new checkout method or changing how it takes payments in another market. Bring the current setup and the one thing you need a provider to improve; that gives you a basis for comparing answers at more than one stand.
The PAY360 FAQ separates exhibition access from delegate admission to the conference and says registered participants can use the app. The organiser advertises advance meeting booking, so check the booking window and which pass covers the activities you need.
If you’re in London for trade finance, technology, customer service or property, start with my London business networking guide. It also helps you choose between the two trade events on 10 June, depending on whether you need financing or a route into a new market.
6. Where I’d start with your time and budget
When choosing between countries, look at what else you can do while you are there. A regional meeting day can be easier to justify if you can also visit a customer or see a supplier’s operation. I would plan those visits before adding nights to the trip.
Check what your team can do in the working language, especially if the meeting involves a contract, technical specification or budget. If the organiser only publishes an English landing page, ask about the language of the session or appointments you actually want.
If you’re choosing a business conference mainly to learn, I’d look for a session that answers a current question and set aside time to discuss it with a peer. For a purchasing trip, bring enough of a brief for a supplier to tell you whether they can help.
If you run a small business, choose Amsterdam for broad supplier discovery or Stockholm for Swedish-market relationships. If you already know the kind of local customer or subcontractor you need, Kohtaamo’s scheduled format gives you a more focused starting point.
If you’re a woman building a company in France, I’d start with Sommet des Fondatrices; if your priority is exchanging leadership experience, look at HER. If you’re actively raising and need an investor search you can filter by stage, I’d start with START Summit.
If you have a real Croatia venue brief, check MEETEX eligibility and the diary commitment. For a payments decision with a UK connection, start with PAY360 and establish what you can learn from the exhibition before adding conference sessions.
If the people you need are AI engineers or implementation partners, my AI networking guide compares routes built around demonstrations, shared work and introductions. If your target customers are in America, use my US business networking guide to choose a market you can follow up in.
Pro Tip: budget for what happens after the event
Alongside travel and the pass, set aside time to send the proposal, organise a demo or make the promised introduction. I would book the trip only if you can name a next step that you have the time and authority to take.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose a business networking event in Europe in 2027?
Start with the person and market you need, then compare how the event creates introductions. An expo works for comparing suppliers; an appointment programme makes more sense when you have a defined purchasing or partnership brief.
Are there free business networking events for small businesses?
The Business Show Amsterdam advertises free visitor tickets and Stockholm Business Expo advertises free exhibition tickets. Check reservations, workshop access and exhibitor fees separately.
Which events are useful for women founders and leaders?
I’d look at Sommet des Fondatrices for French founder relationships and HER Conference & Awards for wider leadership exchange. Check the working language and whether any investor meeting or pitch requires separate selection.
Does a conference pass include one-to-one meetings?
It depends on the event and the pass. START lists investor matchmaking for startup ticket holders, while MEETEX’s hosted-buyer diary requires approval and attendance commitments. Check how requests are confirmed before you count on a meeting.
Did you not find the event you were looking for?
Use Pro Event Search to find more business events by industry, location and date. Start with the person you need to meet, then look for an event that gives you a practical way to reach them.
